Checkpoint Creation

Creating checkpoints in hackathons is essential. These stages can be added, adjusted and edited on this page and will be displayed on the main hackathon home page.
The organizer can create multiple checkpoints over here. Under checkpoint name, just type in your desired title, fill in the date and timings and add questions to it. The 'update on schedule' box, when ticked, will update the schedule on your main hackathon homepage.
Organizers can add as many parameters as they want. By default, there have to be two questions. The maximum scoring strength can be set to 25, while the default is set to 15. This can be increased or decreased by just sliding the bar.
Make sure to click on 'save changes' to save the new changes.
An example of the checkpoint screen with a checkpoint is below.
To have the ability to let mentors score, on the hackathon main website, when editing the mentor/jury details, the button 'mentors will judge teams' should be checked.
CONDITION: Mentors have to join using their respective work/personal IDs on the H2S portal so that they have access to the evaluation list. This is only available once they are registered with us.
After clicking allot mentors in the checkpoint creation section, it will take you to the below window. The first step is to select mentors from the box on the top left-hand side. After that, you can select to which team you want them to be allocated and then to save the updated changes you must click 'allot mentors' at the bottom. In the same steps, you can remove the mentors from teams.
Once allotment has been done, an auto-generated link for direct access to evaluate the teams will be accessible under the ' mentor scoring link '. This link will give them direct access to the evaluation portal without the need to sign in.
After copy-pasting the auto-generated link, the below scoring card window will open up. As we can see, we have an overview of the teams that are ready to be evaluated. The search bar has been coded for the users' convenience to search using the team name and the team lead name.
The red pencil icon under action suggests the team is ready to be freshly evaluated, while the green pencil indicates that the team has already been evaluated, but if it needs to be re-evaluated, it can be done.
If the user wants to switch to another team without saving the changes, they can simply click on 'select another team' on the top left-hand side.
While scoring a team, this window will show you side by side view of all the teams' details, with their respective PDFs, problem statements and powerpoints under the 'idea' and 'PDF' sections.
The mentors/jurys need to simply click on the mark under the questions and have the option to give feedback and click on submit to save the score and move on to the next team.
Back to the admin side, in the main checkpoint creation section, the organizers can see live scores and feedback as the teams are being evaluated. Here we can go to view scores and on that redirected page we can move to the next checkpoint, by directly shortlisting teams for the next round. You can click on the scores in ascending or descending order and based on their scores can shortlist/reject or waitlist them.
NOTE: There is a known error in this system, if the email ID contains 'dot' before '@', it will create a bug in the system. The error would be after assigning a mentor to a team initially, if it needs to be changed, later on, you will not be able to remove that team from the mentor.
