Sending emails to your participants is an essential part of keeping them updated on your hackathon. On our platform, you have the ability to email each category of the participants.
Go to the communication section at the bottom of the left-side panel and click on the "Email" section.
Users can direct the email to:
Everyone registered, the team leader, teams that have submitted the ideas, teams that haven't submitted the idea and shortlisted and not shortlisted teams.
Compulsory: The organizer should type '@name' in the dialogue box and the portal will automatically send the email with the respective category registered participants' names.
Like with all our dialogue boxes, there are a few features that are ready for use, the first one is where the user can edit the texts. We have added the chain icon to add a link to the selected text. There are also superscripts and subscripts. Indentation has been added that will convert text from right to left and can be clicked again to reset it. There is the colour of the text and the bullet form options. The Quotation has been made available to highlight text to focus on. And the last feature is the coding median, it will enable the code editor, and users will be able to type embed codes. It will compile it and display the output at the bottom of the page. Users can paste a code, but it is recommended to type it in the coding block.
NOTE: Emails that the registered participants receive will be from the platform system. It will be [hackathonURL]@update.hack2skill.com Ex: if it's from XYZ, its URL will be [XYZ] so the e-mail will be XYZ@update.hack2skill.com. This can't be customized by the organizer.
Any new e-mail that's added will be notified to the registered participants through the notification bell icon on their dashboard.
ONLY FOR HYBRID MODE:
Emails can now be communicated to offline and online participants. This option is only available in hybrid mode, while the participants were registering for the events.
Team scenario: If a team has been formed with 2 or more members, only then the leader of the team will receive the email. The mode is chosen as per the leader's decision, i.e if the team leader wants the mode offline, then that would be the case for the rest of his team members.
NOTE: Notifications will disappear after 12 hours of any updates being added on the Communication channel, webinar, or resources addition or update.
