Follow the link
The above link will help you create the initial hackathon page in just 3 steps.
Step 1 ( URL/Name/No. of participants)
Hackathon participants type: Solo and team participation. Organizers can choose the team types, either if they want the hackathon to be solo participation or team based participation.
Choosing "Solo" type will lead to another option where the organizers will have to choose if this hackathon is a "one-phase" or a "two-phase" hackathon.
In a "one-phase" hackathon ,all the submissions and communications will be done on the same dashboard and there will not be any requirement of a separate dashboard for participants.
Whereas in a"two-phase" hackathon, the hackathon will be divided into two parts.
NOTE: hackathon participation type and team members limit can only be changed once.
Step 2 ( Dates/Hack type/theme)
Step 3 (Targetted at)
Once all the relevant information has been inputted, just click on ''create hackathon'' and your hackathon will be sent to the H2s servers, where it will be reviewed before being published.
What is enabling Dashboard in step 2?
While filling in the details you will find a section where it will ask for customizing the dashboard visibility. Over here if you click on "NO", It will disable the dashboard access for the participants. By doing this users will be redirected back to the main page of the hackathon where they will find further information about the event regarding the submission.
After reviewing it, you will be able to visit the admin panel of the created hackathon.
If you have created more than one Hackathon, you can view and edit them on the admin page after logging in using your credentials.
Note: Replace hackathonName with the URL you used in step 1 while creating the Hackathon.
After successfully creating, you have access to customize every section of the hackathon using the admin panel.
Using the above panel gives you features such as :
Live edit the hackathon page
