Team Management Tab
The Team Management tab is your central hub for creating, joining, and managing your team during the hackathon.
Creating a Team
To embark on your hackathon journey with a new team, follow these steps:
Unique Team Name: Choose a memorable and unique name that represents your team's spirit and goals.
Upload a cool logo (optional): Enhance your team's identity by adding a logo. We support images up to 1 MB with a 1:1 aspect ratio.
Click "Create": Bring your team to life by clicking the "Create" button after filling in the required fields.
Joining an Existing Team
Prefer to collaborate with others? Explore and join existing teams:
Explore Teams: Click the "Explore Teams" button to browse through public teams seeking new members.
Join a Team:
Join Team By Name: If you know the name of the team you want to join, enter it in the "Join Team By Name" field.
Request Sent: Once you've sent a request, you'll see the team's name and the status of your request.
Managing Team Invitations
Navigate incoming and outgoing invitations with ease:
Invitations: View invitations received from other teams seeking your expertise.
Accept/Reject: Respond to invitations accordingly by choosing to "Accept" or "Reject."
Additional Actions
Cancel: Abort team creation or joining processes using the "Cancel" button.
Viewing Team Information
Once part of a team, you can view your team members and other relevant details within the Team Management tab.
Examples
Here are some examples of how you might use the Team Management tab:
Forming a new team: A group of friends decides to participate in the hackathon. They use the "Create a Team" section to form their team, choosing a catchy name and uploading their custom logo.
Joining a public team: A participant with specific skills wants to contribute to an existing project. They use the "Explore Teams" button to find teams working on similar ideas and send a join request to a team that aligns with their skills.
Managing Invitations: A participant receives multiple invitations from different teams. They review the invitations and decide which team to join based on project alignment and team dynamics.
